The Slovenian Istria is not only
the sea and the coast, but also the hinterland with its thousand surprises.
Only 4 km from Izola and Portorož lies farm Medljan. Far from everyday
hustle and bustle, you can take pleasure in listening to the sound of
silence and of birds, watch the animals on the farm courtyard, walk through
the vineyards or explore the land on a mountain bike. Autumn and spring
represent the ideal part of the year for horse riding to the near or distant
places of Slovenian Istria.

Tourism Medljan does not offer you only peace and relaxation, but
invites you also to test your skills. We offer you a riding school or guided
cross country riding in Slovene Istria, walks in nature, shooting with a bow
and arrow, biking, tending of up to two horses. We organise for you typical
local games as: throwing of a horse shoe, sling shooting… and in our kitchen
we also prepare delicious Istrian food. On the farm you can enjoy an active
holiday as well by joining us at our everyday work on the farm.
Only 4 km from the farm there are the towns of Izola and Portorož, where you
can swim in the sea for as long as you wish. We also invite you to visit our
neighbour villages, where you get to know with our old architecture and
costum. Our vine region is very renowned and we recommend you taste some our
of wines as Malvazija and Refošk.
